What is the difference between Priority Share and General Share?
Priority Share (BDT 5,000,000) gives you permanent co-ownership of the land and building through a registered deed, monthly dividends from profit AND rent, lifetime healthcare, and board voting rights. General Share (BDT 2,000,000) gives you hospital profit dividends only — no property deed, no healthcare benefits. Both earn from the hospital's operations.
Is my investment legally secured?
Yes. Priority shareholders receive a registered land and building deed through the official property deed (Distribution Deed) process after full payment. A 17-member advisory committee elected from shareholders oversees all operations. An 11-member construction committee monitors the building project. The hospital chairman personally guarantees all commitments as per the signed agreement.
What happens if I miss an installment?
Missing one month incurs a 10% penalty on the overdue amount. Missing two consecutive months means you must pay all overdue installments plus a 20% penalty. If installments consistently cannot be made, the company may cancel your share and sell it at market value — returning only the cost value of your payments (no additional payment for appreciation).
When will I start earning dividends?
Dividends begin after the hospital opens (expected December 2028). Priority shareholders also earn floor-space rental income, which may begin once specific floors are operational. The exact dividend rate will be declared by the shareholders' committee based on annual hospital performance.
Can I transfer or sell my share to someone else?
Yes, shares can be transferred or sold, subject to the approval of the Nahar Specialized Hospital Board and within the framework of the shareholder agreement. The transfer process involves signing updated documentation and a nominal transfer fee (currently set at approximately BDT 40,000).
What if the hospital project is delayed or cancelled?
In the event of delay, shareholders are entitled to compensation (BDT 30,000/month) from the company after the contract deadline. In the extremely unlikely event of project cancellation, the company is obligated to refund the full investment amount paid, and the land itself — already registered — remains in shareholders' collective ownership as a secured asset.
